Why va-Q-med?
Reliable. GDP-compliant. Passive.
va-Q-med combines advanced vacuum insulation with phase change materials. The result: reproducible temperature control on the last mile without external energy.
No Refrigerated Vehicles
The passive multi-purpose boxes can be transported in any standard vehicle. Expensive refrigerated transporters and their CO₂ emissions are completely eliminated.
Precise Temperature Control
PCM technology keeps the internal temperature stable without power fluctuations. The systems are qualified and reproducible according to ISTA 7E (summer profile).
True Reusable Solution
Validated over 1,200 thermal cycles. No packaging waste, no disposables. Swiss Post has saved over 25% CO₂ this way.
GDP Compliance
Standardized box systems enable reproducible, GDP-compliant processes. Ideal for regulated supply chains in pharmaceutical wholesale and direct delivery.
Easy Integration
Compact box portfolio compatible with integrator networks, lab shipping, and B2C direct delivery.
CO₂-neutral produced
Produced in Würzburg with 1.7 million kWh from renewable energies annually. No dry ice, no hazardous goods.

Frequently Asked Questions about our va-Q-meds
Yes. All va-Q-med systems are specifically designed to meet the requirements of regulated supply chains. They enable reproducible, GDP-compliant processes. Qualification is carried out according to the ISTA 7E summer profile, and all temperature ranges are documented and testable.
Depending on the model and temperature range, between 20 and 72 hours (ISTA 7E summer profile). The premium versions offer up to 50% longer runtimes than the standard versions. Detailed test curves are available upon request.
As standard, the PCM elements are conditioned for at least 72 hours at +3.0 °C. The methodology has been scientifically validated over more than 1,200 thermal cycles.
The va-Q-med 7 has an internal volume of 5 to 7 liters and external dimensions of 400 × 300 × 325 mm. It is ideal for smaller shipments. The va-Q-med 21 offers 15 to 18 liters of internal volume (600 × 400 × 345 mm) and is designed for larger shipments, with correspondingly longer temperature holding times.
