All QOOL products are produced in a climate-neutral manner in Würzburg. In addition to the black color, the Eco+ version is made from recycled material, thus underlining our sustainability claim. The performance of the two boxes is no different.

The black cooler box is our Eco+ version – it is made from recycled material and is therefore particularly resource-efficient.

The blue cooler box is the original version made of new EPP material.

Important : Both versions are identical in terms of function, performance, and insulation quality. Therefore, the choice is solely a matter of sustainability and appearance.

The QOOL Box offers different size options, depending on your needs and the number of people:

• QOOL Box M: This version is ideal for 2-3 people. It has a capacity of 27 liters (22 liters with Temperature Elements). This volume allows for a food supply for approximately one week to 10 days. Alternatively, the box offers enough space for up to 16 0.5-liter bottles.
• QOOL Box L: If you're a group of four or more, we recommend the larger QOOL Box L with a capacity of 43 liters (33 liters with Temperature Elements). This generous size easily stores 24 0.5-liter bottles and offers plenty of space for drinks and food for a weekend family getaway.

If the larger temperature elements of the QOOL Box L don't fit in your freezer, we also offer a set of six M-sized temperature elements. You can find these under Accessories.

We recommend packing the QOOL Box as fully as possible, as this optimizes cooling performance and can keep it cool for up to 10 days. Choose the box size based on your needs and the number of people to ensure the best user experience.

The stability of the QOOL Box is impressive. It has been specifically designed for robust and reliable performance and can support an impressive 150 kg of weight. Thanks to its stable construction made of EPP (expanded polypropylene), a material known in the automotive industry as a shock absorber, the box proves its worth in a variety of applications, be it as a seat, table or step. Its durability and reliability make it a versatile companion in a wide variety of situations.

The outer material of the QOOL Box is not made of Styrofoam, but of EPP, expanded polypropylene. EPP is an extremely lightweight, robust and water-repellent material. Its main purpose is to protect our high-performance insulation and also to provide strong insulation performance.

Yes, the QOOL Box works with a combination of high-tech insulation, so-called vacuum insulation panels, and Temperature Elements, which allow you to set the temperature inside the box. The super-insulated shell maintains the temperature for up to 10 days, and the Temperature Elements set the temperature. Depending on the phase-change material they are filled with, the elements have different temperature ranges: Frozen, Cool, & Fresh. These elements must be frozen. You then set the selected temperature inside the box.

Thanks to specially developed PCM formulations, QOOL Temperature Elements are suitable for a variety of temperature ranges. All ingredients are safe and suitable for use with food.

• Standard Frozen (-20°C to -10°C) | Ideal for all frozen foods – from fish fillets to perfect ice cream and BARF.
• Standard Cool (-2 °C to +2 °C) | For everything that belongs in the refrigerator at home – e.g., fresh food, drinks, or snacks.
• Controlled Fresh (+2 °C to +8 °C) | The special range for temperature-sensitive products – especially suitable for the safe storage of certain medications.

Standard Frozen (-20 °C to -10 °C)
Please freeze the Temperature Elements in a freezer/chest freezer at a temperature of at least -18 °C for at least 72 hours. Remove the Temperature Elements from the freezer/chest freezer. The inside of the elements should now be solid. The Temperature Elements are immediately ready for use and can be used with the QOOL Box.

Standard Cool (-2°C to +2°C)
Please freeze the Temperature Elements in a freezer/chest freezer at a temperature of at least -18 °C for at least 12 hours. Take the Temperature Elements out of the freezer/chest freezer. The inside of the elements should now be solid. The Temperature Elements are immediately ready for use and can be used with the QOOL Box.

Controlled Fresh (+2 °C to +8 °C)
Please freeze the Temperature Elements in a freezer/chest freezer at a temperature of at least -18 °C for at least 8 hours. Take the Temperature Elements out of the freezer/chest freezer. The inside of the elements should now be solid. The Temperature Elements are immediately ready for use and can be used with the QOOL Box.

The QOOL Box M is operated with a set consisting of 4 size M elements.

Should the elements of the QOOL Box L be too large for your freezer, it is possible to operate the QOOL Box L with 6 elements of size M.

For the QOOL Box M, which can cool for up to 10 days without electricity, we recommend the maximum configuration with 4 temperature elements of the same size (1 liter). Place one element upright on the sides of the handles and place the other two elements on top of the food. The two top elements have the greatest effect, as cold air sinks downwards and flows through all the refrigerated goods. If you are only away for 3-5 days, 2 of the 4 temperature elements are sufficient. These can then be conveniently placed on the side, but should be placed on top of the refrigerated goods for optimal cooling.

For the QOOL Box L, which can cool for up to 10 days without electricity, a surround system (cooling cube) with 6 temperature elements is recommended. There are 2 different element parts: 2 square elements (for the base and lid) and 4 side elements. Place one of the large elements on the base of the box. Then add the 4 side elements with the straight side facing the respective wall. Finally, simply place the lid on top. Here, too, not all elements are necessary for 3-5 days.

As an alternative to the QOOL Box L, we offer a set of 6 small elements that were originally intended for the QOOL Box M.
By correctly placing the temperature elements, you can maximize the cooling performance of the QOOL Box and keep your food optimally fresh, whether you are away for a few days or up to 10 days.

To achieve the maximum temperature retention time of 10 days in the QOOL Box, optimal conditions should be created. It is advisable to fill the box in a similar way to the refrigerator, by filling it as full as possible with chilled products. Ideally, the products should be pre-chilled when placed in the box. The box can also cool down, but this shortens the running time. Depending on use, the Temperature Elements should be recharged or frozen after around 10 days.

The QOOL box achieves its impressive thermal insulation performance through the use of vacuum insulation panels that are installed on all sides, in the lid and in the base of the box. In combination with the QOOL Temperature Elements, the temperature inside can be kept constant for several days. The box can be opened several times without any problem, as long as the lid is closed in such a way that no air exchange takes place.

The QOOL Box can also be used without Temperature Elements. If the QOOL Box is filled with chilled drinks or food, the refrigerated goods will stay at the right temperature for 1-2 days. If a specific temperature range (refrigerator or freezer) is required, we would recommend our Temperature Elements. The Temperature Elements also extend the storage time to one week to 10 days.

Yes, that's easily possible. The QOOL Temperature Elements can be frozen permanently when not in use.

We also often store the elements in the freezer until the next use – this has no negative impact on their function or lifespan.

In combination with our Temperature Elements, the QOOL cool box enables the precise setting of specific temperature ranges such as the refrigerator range from +2 °C to +8 °C or the freezer range from -20 °C to -10 °C. We can keep these temperature ranges constant for up to 10 days.

Compared to standard ice packs, which are often filled with water, our Temperature Elements offer improved performance. Conventional ice packs give off a temperature of around 0 °C when defrosting, which is already too cold for some applications and foods. However, our Temperature Elements are able to maintain the required temperatures and thus enable longer cooling of up to 10 days without electricity. Depending on the needs and requirements of the cool box, other ice packs can also be used in the box.

The same applies to ice cubes, as they are also made of water and are around 0 °C when thawed. As the QOOL Box was specially designed for use with Temperature Elements, it does not have a drain for meltwater. If ice cubes are used for cooling, we therefore recommend using a bag or similar container to collect the meltwater.

The deep frozen elements are mainly recommended for professional use, such as in the catering industry. In order to pre-cool the elements correctly, they must be stored for at least 72 hours at a minimum of -30 °C. Commercial freezers can often only be set to -18 °C and cannot handle these extreme temperatures. When storing, it is also important to ensure that the elements are free-standing and not stacked on top of each other. This is the only way to ensure that the 72 hours are sufficient to completely freeze the elements and prepare them for the desired application.

For deep-freeze applications, we would therefore recommend our standard frozen elements. These give off -20 °C to -10 °C in the QOOL box and keep your refrigerated goods frozen for up to 10 days. The standard frozen elements can also be pre-cooled in standard freezers at -18 °C.

Yes, the QOOL Box is capable of keeping warm products warm thanks to an innovative technology also used in space travel and the global shipping of coronavirus test kits and vaccines: vacuum insulation panels. These panels are integrated into all sides, the lid, and the bottom of the box, creating a kind of "thermos in box format."

Thanks to this advanced insulation technology, the QOOL Box achieves excellent thermal insulation performance. However, it's important to note that the warming process isn't supported by additional "heating elements," as is the case with refrigeration. Therefore, the box can keep warm products warm for a few hours to a day, depending on how full the box is (a fuller box will maintain the appropriate temperature longer). The QOOL Box is therefore a versatile solution for keeping your food both cool and warm, depending on your needs and situation.

Cleaning your QOOL Box is straightforward, as both the specially treated outer shell and the interior are easy to clean and disinfect. However, avoid using harsh chemicals to avoid damaging the material. A sponge dampened with water is ideal for cleaning.
After the cleaning process, we recommend wiping the cool box and temperature elements thoroughly dry and storing them uncovered for a few days. This step helps prevent possible mold growth in the box and ensures that the QOOL box remains fresh and ready for use.

To avoid damage to your QOOL Box, please note the following tips:

• Keep the box away from fire: Do not place the QOOL box near open flames or glowing objects. Embers could cause small holes in the outer material of the box.
• Avoid using sharp objects: Do not cut directly on the surface of the box with sharp objects. This could cause scratches or cuts that could damage the material.

By following these simple guidelines, you can ensure the longevity and functionality of your QOOL Box and avoid possible damage. The box will continue to reliably keep your food cool and accompany you on your adventures.

Basically, it doesn't matter where the thermometer is placed in the box, but we recommend placing it with the temperature elements first.

The housing and electronics of the Bluetooth sensor are designed to operate in a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

The sensors can be monitored using a mobile device and the Ruuvi Station app within Bluetooth range.

The sensors send data packets to your mobile device via Bluetooth. Thanks to optimized antenna technology, the maximum range is up to 200 meters (under perfect conditions, without obstacles).

Please note: Obstacles such as metal housings, concrete walls or proximity to water can reduce the range.

The thermometer's sensor works with the Ruuvi Station mobile app. The app can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store (Android) and the App Store (iOS).

No, the Bluetooth sensors are powered by a CR2477T button cell battery, which is included in the package. A battery typically lasts between two and three years with continuous use. The battery is easily replaceable by the user, making our products highly sustainable and reducing maintenance costs to just a few euros every two years.

The Bluetooth sensors have a built-in memory that stores up to 10 days of measurement data. The data can be accessed at any time using the "Sync" function in the Ruuvi Station app. This means that even after leaving Bluetooth range, a detailed 10-day history will be visible once synchronization is resumed.

The Bluetooth sensor has been professionally tested in the laboratory and is certified to IP67, IP68, and IP69K. IP67 only tolerates wet conditions temporarily. It can be used outdoors as long as the breathable membrane does not remain wet for more than 30 minutes. IP68 means the sensor can function in water for 24 hours. IP69K means the device has undergone a series of demanding tests to ensure it offers protection against the ingress of high-pressure, high-temperature water up to 80°C.

When the display is active, hold the touch pad for 2 seconds. The UV cleaning process starts (countdown 180 seconds) – indicated by the "UV" symbol and a blue LED ring.

Note: The UV function deactivates automatically at temperatures above 60°C.

Double-tap the display while the screen is on. The bottle will remind you to drink every 90 minutes with a beep and a flashing yellow LED ring. A maximum of four reminders will follow, after which the function will automatically deactivate. To restart, simply double-tap again.

When you tap the display, the bottle shows the current temperature – supplemented by a color code:

0-36 °C = Light blue

37-60 °C = Green

61-99 °C = Red

Note: During UV sterilization, the display may deviate by up to +8°C (due to internal electronics).

Reactivating the same function (UV or reminder) immediately interrupts and deactivates it – like an on/off switch.

The integrated battery (800mAh) is sufficient for approximately 60 UV sterilizations. With normal use (1x daily UV + reminder function), the battery lasts for over a week.

Use the included USB-C cable. Charging takes approximately 3 hours. A red LED ring indicates the charging process.

Note: The bottle should not be used while charging.

Yes, the bottle is suitable for both hot and cold drinks.

Bottle body: clean by hand with warm water and detergent.

Lid: wipe only with a soft, damp cloth.

Use UV function regularly for additional hygiene inside.

Note: The lid contains electronic components (touch display, battery, UV lamp). Please do not immerse it or put it in the dishwasher.

Yes, it's ideal for travel. The bottle is leak-proof, and the UV function makes it perfect for countries with unsafe water quality.

Note: Turn off the UV function in your carry-on bag before going through security in case security personnel want to inspect the lid.
