QOOL Box M Eco+ impresses in the Netzwelt test: Test winner among passive cool boxes 2025

In August 2025, the technology and consumer magazine Netzwelt put five passive cool boxes through their paces – from the compact Dometic to the robust YETI. The tests were conducted under realistic conditions: summer heat, sunshine, and daily use with regular opening and measurement of the internal temperature.

The comparison took place under realistic conditions – in summer heat on a terrace in Hamburg, with identical starting conditions for all boxes:

Each cooler was filled with the same amount of ice cubes and drinks. Over several days, the internal temperatures were regularly measured, the condition of the ice was documented, and the daily opening and removal of drinks was simulated.

The following were evaluated:

• Cooling performance and temperature stability over seven days
• Handling and transportability
• workmanship, material quality and design
• Practical details such as drain valves, handles or closures

These test conditions should clarify which cool box performs best in real everyday situations – without a power supply and at high outside temperatures.

After two intensive weeks of testing, the result was clear:
